A rectangular stage has an area of 600 square yards. The length of the stage must be more than 10 yard more than the width. Find the dimension of the stage nedded.

• Let width be x yards
  then length will be (x+10) yards
  
  Area of rectangle=L*B=600
  =x*(x+10)=600
  
  on solving we get:
  x=20 and -30
  
  x can't be negative so x=20
  therefore
  width=20
  length=x+10=20+10=30
