I am trying to help my daughter. I am stumped.
Problem: 3*sqrtx -2x+2=0

Read Solution (Total 1)

x = 4

3*sqrt(x) -2x +2 = 0
3*sqrt(x) = 2x-2

Squaring both sides
9x = 4x^2 +4 -8x
4x^2 - 17x +4 = 0

Solving x =4 and 1/4

x=1/4 is not a solution
So ans : x =4
