• Let the 2-digit number be xy
  x+y = 8
  If it is yx, then yx=xy+36
  Possible values of (x,y) are
  (1,7), (2,6), (3,5), (4,4), (5,3), (6,2), (7,1), (8,0)
  xy=17,yx=71 ll not produce the difference 36
  xy=26, yx=62 => 62-26 = 36
  
  Hence the number is 26
