How many no less than 400 are divisible by atleast 2,3,4,6,9,14 or 21.
Option
a. 266
b. 276
c. 321
d. 588

- 266
no divided by 4,6,14 also divided by 2.
no divided bu 9 ,6,21 also divided by 3
so no divided by 2,3 are 266 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(40) No(8)
- no divided by 4,6,14 is also divided by 2.....
no divided by 9,6,21 is also divided by 3....
so no divided by 2 is 199 & no divided by 3 is 133
so total (199+133)=332,
now there are some common factors that are the multiple of 6.
the no that numbers is 66
so total no=(332-66)=266
so 266 is the ans. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(24) No(0)
- 286
divisible by 2= 199
divisible by 3=67
divisible by 7 =20
so ans is 286

- 276
No divisible by 2 -> 200
No Divisible by 3 but not 2 -> 67
No Divisible by 7 but not by 3 and 2 ->9
Total = 200+67+9 = 276 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(2)
- 588 is exactly divisible by 2 and 3
so 588 is correct answer - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(25)
- @aftab ahmed 133(divisible by 3)+199(divisible by 2)-66(divisible by 2 & 3)=266

- answer is 588 .
in d ques the statement is 2,3,4,6,9,14 or 21... OR means how many numbers are there divisible by 2 or 3 or 4 ....so on
let number be n
n/2 =199
n/3=133
n/4=99
n/6=99
n/9=44
n/14=28
n/21=19
total = 588 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(8)
- ans should be 265.. not 266.
Because Total numbers are 399 below 400.
no. div by 2 = 199
no. not div by 2 = 200.
so. in 200 no. div by 3 = 66
since, no divided by 4,6,14 also divided by 2
no divided by 9 ,6,21 also divided by 3
hence, 199+66 = 265
therefore option should be 265.

- it all comes down to number of numbers less than 400 that are divisible by 2,3,7.
let n(x)=numbers divisible by 2 which are less than 400.
final answer=n(2)+n(3)+n(7)-n(6)-n(21)-n(14)+n(42). - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- according to me if no is divisible by 2,3,7 then d no is divisible by all the no ....bt m not finding d ryte answer plz someone help me how to find d ans

- till 400 all even numbers will be divisible by 2 ( 200 even numbers) remaining 200 odd numbers 1 3 5 7 9 ..... 399 200/3 = 67 will be divisible by 3, as we have discarded all even numbers and out of remaining numbers 2nd number is 3 then 1 + 198/3 = 67 numbers are divisible by 3.so total 266
