A car traveled first at 66 km/h for 40 minutes. then covered a distance of 24 km in 45 minute and finally traveled at 60 km/h for 30 minutes and consumed 10 liters of petrol in the journey. what is the average fuel consumption rate(in km/liter) obtained by the car in this journey ?
Read Solution (Total 1)

- 9.8 km/liter
Distance traveled by car in first 40 minutes= (40/60)*66=44 km.
Distance covered in next 45 minutes= 24 km.
Distance covered in next 30 minutes= (30/60)*60= 30
Total distance traveled= 44+24+30= 98 km. & petrol consumed =10 liters
So rate of fuel consumption= 98/10= 9.8 km/liter
