A does 3/4 of a piece of work in 24 days .He then calls in B and both of them together complete the remaining work in 4 days -how long would B alone take to do the entire work?

x = 4/3 * 24 => x = 32 days
So A ll complete the entire work in 32 days

Remaining work left = 1-3/4 = 1/4
A+B does 1/4 work ---> in 4 days
A+B ll do whole(1) work ---> x days
x = 4*4 = 16 days
A's 1 day work = 1/32
A+B's 1 day work = 1/16
Then B's 1 day work = (A+B)'s 1 day work - A's 1 day work
=> 1/16 - 1/32
B's 1 day work => 1/32
So B ll complete the entire work alone in 32 days...

24*A= (3/4)W => 4A = (1/8)W

(1/8)W + 4B = (1/4)W
Solving the above equation:: B = (1/32)W
