10th floor of a skyscraper is 2 inches swayed. If the top floor is swayed more than 1 foot(12 inches), structure becomes unstable. What can be the height of the building??

- this question is incomplete,there is one more condition-distance(d) by which skyscraper gets swayed is directly proportional to square of number of floor(f)..it can be solved by this way .. d=k*f^2,k-constant putting values in this equation 2=k*10^2 i.e 2=100k so k=1/50 for 12 inches sway no. of floors reqd is .. 12=(1/50)*f^2 solving this we get value of f between 24 and 25 i.e approx 24.6 since at this point structure becomes unstable so height of the building can be upto 24 floor ..ans is 24 and this was one of the options.....rest options were above 30 and below 20........ans is 24
