If there is a cube of dimension 7*7*7 which is made up of 343 smaller cube. A square of dimension 3*3*3 is inserted on each face of the cube. what is the total number of replaced smaller cube? A) 109 B) 162 C) 192 D) ?
Read Solution (Total 7)

- I guess 162
dimension of each smaller cube is 1*1*1, since 7*7*7=343 & it is made of 343 smaller cube so dimension of any smaller cube is 1-1-1.
now 3*3*3=27, therefore 27 smaller 1-1-1 cube has to be replace from each face
since we have total 6 faces, therefore 27*6=162 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(24) No(4)
- How can there be a square of dimension 3*3*3

- 134
27+27 from two opposite faces.
21+21 from next two opposite faces.
19+19 from the remaining opposite fACES - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(0)
- 162
3*3*3=27, therefore 27 smaller cube 1*1*1
so. 6*27 = 162. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)

- I think 216
7*7*7=343,hece smaller cube dimensions is 1*1*1
total 8 cube are inserted of dimesions 3*3*3
hece total replace cube is 27*8=216 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(6)
- I think There is something wrong with the question because if we have inserted two 3*3*3 cubes on opposite faces of 7*7*7 cube how can we place another 3*3*3 on other faces as the 3*3*3 cube replaced earlier will resist them.
