Read Solution (Total 7)
-
- man = x , son = y
(x-2)= 3(y-3)^2 ------ 1
(x+3)= 4(y+3) ----- 2
solving 1 & 2
y = 5, y= 1/3(neglect)
x = 29 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(3)
- let two year ago son age is x then father age is 3x^2
in 3 years (means 3 years after from present year) = 3+2 = 5 years
according to question
4(x+5)=3(x^2)+5
we get x=3
means 2 year ago son age is 3 then present age of father is 3x^2+2
3*9+2=29 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- yes its y-2 for 2 yrs back

- Two Years Ago,Let father's age be x and son's age be y.
then we have
x= 3(y^2)------i)
After 5 years (two years ago+ in three Years)
x+5= 4(y+5)----ii)
Putting ii) in i) and Solving We get, y= -5/3 (neglect) or y= , Thus x= 27
Thus Father's present age will be x+2 i.e. 27+2=29 and Son's age is (y+2)= 5. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
