A, B, C enter into partnership with a total of Rs.8,200. A’s capital is Rs.1,000 more than B and
Rs.2,000 less than C’s. What is B’s share of the Profit of Rs.2,460?
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- A = 1000+B = C-2000
B = C-3000
A+B+C = 8200
(C-2000) + (C-3000) + C = 8200
3C = 13200
C = 4400
B = 4400 - 3000 = 1400
A = 4400 - 2000 = 2400
A : B : C => 2400 : 1400 : 4400
A : B : C = 12 : 7 : 22
B's Share => 2460 * 7/(12+7+22) = 2460*7/41 = 420
Ans : Rs. 420

- according to question,
A=B+1000,
C=A+2000,
A+B+C=8200
by putting the value in the form of A
we get
A+(A-1000)+(A+2000)=8200
So,A=7200/3=2400, B=1400, C=4400
so A:B:C=12:7:22
Profit share of B=(7/41)*2460 =RS. 420
Answer :-RS. 420 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- 420
A=B+1000 ---(i) ,A=C-2000 ---(ii)
Given, A+B+C=8200 ---(iii)
From (i),(ii) & (iii), A=2400, B=1400, C=4400
Ratio of investment of A:B:C=24:14:44 =12:7:22
B's share in the profit of 2460 =2460*7/(12+7+22)=420 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
