• 7:3 as 40 liters of mixture ;; 8 liters taken out ;; 40-8=32 L quantity of milk in this mixture = 32*(5/8)= 20 liters ;; 8 L of milk added so 20+8=28 L of milk is present in 40 liters of mixture ;; water content is 40-28=12 L of water ;; milk : water = 28:12 = 7:3

• Quantity of milk in the original mixture => 40*5/8 = 25 liters
  Quantity of water in the original mixture => 40*3/8 = 15 liters
  Now 8 liters are taken out ... Remaining mixture = 40-8 = 32 liters
  Quantity of milk nd water in 32 liters ll be 20 nd 12 liters respectively
  Now 8 liter of milk is added
  So
  20+8/12 = 28/12 = 7/3
  New ratio ll be 7:3

• initially 25lit milk and 15lit water is the mixture
  if we take 8 lit mixture in that 5lit milk and 3lit water will be there
  so ,after replacing milk = 20lit
  water = 20lit
  ratio is 1:1
