Ram sell his goods 25% cheaper than Shyam and 25% dearer than Bram. How much % is Bram's good cheaper than Shyam?
Read Solution (Total 13)
-
- let Shyam sells his good at 100 Rs.
Then , Ram sells his goods at 75% of Shyam's selling price of goods.
i.e. 75 Rs.
Ram also sells his goods 25% dearer than Bram.
It means 75 = 125% of Bram's selling price
75 = 125/100 * Bram's selling price
Therefore, Bram's goods selling price = 60 Rs.
Now, Ram = 75 Rs.
Shyam = 100 Rs.
and Bram = 60 Rs.
We can say that Bram's goods are 40% cheaper than Shyam. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(64) No(1)

- ram sell his goods
(i)- 25% cheaper than shyam then ram's seling price-75 rs (let shyam's selling price=100)
(ii)-25% dearer than bram, then bram-(100/125)*75=60
ram=75
shyam=100
bram=60
so bram's goods 40% cheaper than shyam - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(0)
- Ans-40%
Explanation:-suppose Shyam's goods price is 100rs.
Ram sold his goods 25% cheaper than Shyam means at 75rs.
Now Ram sold his goods 25% dearer than Bram, means Bram's goods price will be 60rs.
because 25% of 60 is 15 means 60+15=75.
thus 60 is 40% less than 100.
Thus Bram's good is 40% cheaper than Shyam. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)

- Lets say shyam sells at 100,
Since Ram sells 25% cheaper than Shyam,
Therefor Ram sells at less than 25%of100 or 75 rs.
Ram sells 25% dearer than Bram or 125% of Ram =100% of Bram or
125% of x (say x price of bram )=75rs.
or 100% of x =60rs.
hence price of bram is 60rs.
now Bram's good is cheaper than Shyam's as (100-60)*100/100% or 40%.
Hence Brams Good is 60% cheaper than that of Shyam's good.
