RS 600 is divided among 3 persons(A,B,C).
So that RS 40 is more than that of 4/5 of A's share and RS 20 is more than that of 2/7 of B's share and RS 10 is more than that of 9/7 of C's share may be equal. Find shares of A's
a.150 b.170 c.200 d.280
Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- A+B+C=600
40+(2/5)A=20+(2/7)B=10+(9/17)C. (Given in the question).
On solving both equation we will get A=150 and final answer is 150. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(0)

- sorry a's share is 2/5 and c's share is 9/17 and all shares may be equal
a-150 b-280 c-170
40+2/5 of 150 is 100
20+2/7 of 280 is 100
10+9/17 of 170 is 100 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(5)
- 1st equation-
A+B+C = 600
2nd equation-
2/5A+40 = 2/7B+20 = 9/17C+10
Solving the above relation; we get-
34A-45C = -2550 => C= (34A+2550)/45
14A-10B = -700 => B= (14A+700)/10
34B-63C = -1190
Put the values of B and C in 1st equation; we get-
A= 150
