  so t1 = 3x/24 hr and t2 = x/32 hr
  t1+ t2 =2hr 15min = 135/60 hrs

  Therefore , 3d/24 + d/32 = 9/4 ........(1)
  
  on solving equation(1), we have
  12d+3d/96 = 9/4
  15d/96 = 9/4
  15d/24 = 9
  d = 9*27/15 = 243/15 = 81/15 km.
