Two trains of lenght L1 and L2, running in opposite direction with speed V1 and V2 respectively can cross each other in time t. If the trains running in same direction then the faster one will overtake the slower train in time T. Ratio of T:t is 11. What is the ratio of V1:V2?

• t = (L1 + L2) / (V1 + V2)
  T = (L1 + L2) / (V1-V2) ( suppose v1 > v2)
  
  T/t = (V1+V2) / (V1- V2) = 11 = (6 + 5) / (6 - 5)
  V1/V2 = 6 / 5
