There is a circle with 2 triangles inscribed in it in opposite directions making a star. The triangle is equlateral of side 12. You have to tell the area of the remaining portion of the circle ?

- area of star = √3/4 * (12)^2 + 3* √3/4 *(12/3)^2 = 48√3
if r be radius of circle then,
r=6/cos30 => r=12/√3 => r^2=48
area of circle = pi*48
area of the circle not enclosed by the star = 48*pi - 48√3
=48(3.14-1.732)= 67.68 ~ 68 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(13) No(11)
- Cos30=12/r i.e radius 4*1.732 so area of circle 3.14*48 and area of star (1.732^2/4)*12 +(1.732/4)*4^2=48*1.732 so rensining area=48(3.14-1.732)
