A man spent 1/5 of his life as young boy...,1/7,1/12, and then 5 years upto his sons birth his son was chosen alderman 4 years ago when he was half the age of the man now. Find the mans age.

Common denominator of 12*7 = 84
x =14 x/84 + 7x/84 + 12x/84 + 5 + 42x/84 + 4

x = 75x/84 + 9

84x/84 - 75x/84 = 9

9x/84 = 9

x = 84 is his final age

so y-4=x/2
y=x/2+4
so x=x/5+x/7+x/12+5+x/2+4
x=9*420/31
i think the question is wrong

@neha when u take the LCM it is not 84
it is 84*5=420
