and @abhiav data is ot insufficient
becoz using both statement u can give the ans
like from fist statement BAG I contain 5 and from then remaining possible value is (2,3),(3,2) or (1,4) (4,1) but it is give that BAG III contain minimum no of boll it means third contain 1 boll so ans is

- (Elitmus 7th september- this is d correct question)
There r three bags bag1, bag2 n bag3 n total of 10balls.. each bag contain atleast 1 ball.. is number of balls in bag2 less than 3?
A) bag1 contains 5 balls more than bag3
B) bag3 contains least number of balls
Answer : Both statements r reqd. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(6) No(0)
- ANSWER==> D) both of the statement can't give the answer.
STATMENT 1 tells that BAG-I have boll. so possible combination of (BAG-II,BAG-III) are(1,4) ,(2,3),... so we can't tell clearly that BAG-II have the min number of boll.
STATEMENT 2 tells BAG-III have 1 boll.. It is not sufficient to tell the number of boll in BAG-II as we have no idea about BAG-I or BAG-II.
let consider BOTH STATEMENT: then we find BAG-I+BAG-III = 5+1= 6. so their must be 4 BOLLS in BAG-II. But according to the question BAG-II contains min number of bolls.
Hence both the statement are not sufficient. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(4)
