A, B and C contract a work for Rs.550. Together A and B are supposed to do 7/11 of the work. How much does C get?

• 1/a + 1/b + 1/c = 1; eqn1
  as we know that 1/a+1/b do 7/11 of work , so put the value of 1/a+1/b=7/11 in eqn1
  1/a + 1/b + 1/c = 1;
  7/11+1/c=1;
  1/c=4/11;
  so (4/11)*550=200
  so c gets 200rs.

• As 7/11 part of work has been completed by A and B.So, the remaining 4/11 part will be completed by C.Hence for finding amount C will get : 550*(4/11)=200.
