LCM and HCF
Multiplication of two number a,b is 100, and their LCM in 25 then what is HCF of a and b?

- observe that lcm*hcf=product of two numbers is not valid here.Because multiplication of two numbers to get 100 is possible in one of the ways
1*100,25*4,50*2,10*10 in each ways we will not get lcm as 25. So Question is wrong - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(6)
- 100/25 = 4
hcf = 4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(3)
- Its a kind of dummy question....there are no such numbers whose product is 100,lcm is 25 and hcf as 4 together
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(2)
- its of course a dummy question so better dont answer it... though by formula product of number = hcf * lcm
hcf is 4
though ne combination dont gve lcm as 25 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- lcm*hcf=a*b
25*x=100
hcf=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)
- HCF×LCM= product of two numbers so therefore
Hcf×25=100 so HCF=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(3)
- 4
lcm*hcf=a*b - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- 100=HCF*25
=>HCF=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- product of a and b= HCF*LCM
100=25*HCF
therefore, HCF=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- hcf*lcm=a*b
25*hcf=100
hcf=4

- hcfxlcm=product of nos
hcfx25=100
hcf=4 ans

- lcm * hcf = a* b
100 = 25 * hcf
hcf= 4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- ans:4,product of two numbers=product of hcf and lcm so 100=x*25
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- lcm(a,b)*hcf(a,b)=a*b
25*hcf(a,b)=100
hcf(a,b)=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- product of two no. (a*b)=product of lcm and hcf
100 =25*hcf
hcf=100/25=4
ans 4

- hcf= 100/25= 4 ans
but is it possible ,
multiple of 100= (10,10), (5,20)
but where is the hcf 4??
i think question is wrong - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Hcf = product of numbers÷lcm
so
hcf = 100% 25 = 4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- here the question is inconsistent .suppose number 1 -6 ,number 2- 9 .
HCF of those 2 numbers is 3. &LCM of those 2 numbers is 18 . look that HCF SHOULD BE A FACTOR OF LCM - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Let the two nos be a and b
Lcm×HCF=a×b(formula)
25×HCF=100
HCF=100/25=4
HCF=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- ans 4,
lcm*hcf=products of two no. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- hcf * lcm=product of two no.
lcm =25
so, 25*hcf=100
hcf=4

25*x=100
x=4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- a*b=Lcm(a,b)*hcf(a,b)
100=24*cf(a,b)

- It is just a dummy Question, whatever you choose option............ you are always wrong.
