If 3 apples, 4 oranges and 5 bananas cost Rs. 22, and 2 apples, 3 oranges and 4 bananas cost
Rs. 16, then how much will 1 orange and 2 bananas cost?
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- Let apples be A,oranges be O,bananas be B
3*A+4*O+5*B=22 ------(eq.1)
2*A+3*O+4*B=16 ------(eq.2)
Eliminate A by multiplying (eq.1 with 2 and eq.2 with 3)and subtract 2 from 1
O+2*B=48-44=4
so cost is Rs.4 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- let A= apple, B= banana, C= orange.
according to question,
3A+ 5B+ 4C= 22----------(1)
2A+ 4B + 3C= 16---------(2)
multiplying (1) by 2 and (2) by 3; then subtracting them, we get:-
1C + 2B= 4
so 1 orange and 2 babana cost Rs. 4 only - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)

- let apple=x
orange=y
banana=z
so,3x+4ly+5z=22..........(1)
2x+3y+4z=16...........(2)
Solving the eqution 1 and 2 and cancelling the x terms we get:y+2z=4
so 1 orange and 2 banana cost Rs.4 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
