- Ans is 2n(n-1)....
If 2 couples
then n=2 no. Of handshakes 4.
If three couples then handshakes are 12. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(2)
- ANS: summation 1 to N of 4(N-1)
For 1 couple,handshakes=0
For 2 couples,handshakes=4
For 3 couples,handshakes=12
For 4 couples,handshakes=24
For 5 couples,handshake=40
So this follows a pattern and that is summation 1 to n of 4(n-1) - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)

i.e n(n-1) whole divided by 2 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- simply there are n married couples so
2nC2-n since spouces cannot make handshakes with one another - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
