  so 5 x becomes 1.4*5x = 7x.
  when increased by 50 % ,
  n will become 1.5 n.

  so for easy calculation...
  write 5:7:8 as 500:700:800
  now after percentage increased, the values will be
  700:1050:1400
  by cancellation we get 2:3:4
