Numerical Ability
A and B have respectively (n+1) & n Coins. They toss their coins simultaneously. The probability that A has more heads than B is
a. 1/2
b. <1/2
c. >1/2
d. None of this
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- Ans is 1/2.
For example let n=2. so b has 2 coins and A has 3 coins.
When B outcome is T,T and A outcomes are TTT,TTH,THT,THH......HHT favorable cases are 7.
When B is T,H and A is TTT,TTH,THT,THH.....HHH then favorable caese are favorable cases are 4.
When B is HT and A are TTT.TTH...HHH then favorable case are 4.
If B is HH and A is TTT,TTH.....HHH then favorable cases are 1
so required prob=12/24=1/2
where 24 is total sample space 4*8=24. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
