100x + 10y + z - (100z + 10y + x) = 99*(x-z)
i.e multiple of 99.

I have few things to support my answer
1.987-789=198. divisible by1,2,3,6 and 9
2.991-199=792. Divisible by 4,8

- suppose- u take 561 and on reversing its digit the no is 156 . so difference is 561-156= 405 which clearly is divisible by 3 . like this for any three digit no you will get an answer which is divisible by 3. so it is a multiple of 3 and not a multiple of 9

- but Mr. Sourav Sarkar if u take 963,then the reverse will b 369 and there difference is 594 which is divisible by 9 ,so how the answer be 9?
