- when a number is devided by 1 it does not leaves any remainder

- Let number be N
N=K+1
K=5L+4
L=8M+7
so K=5(8M+7)+4
K=40M+39
now N=40M+39+1
=40M+40
now put M=0 we get N=40 which is the least no.
now order of divisor is reversed so it is 8 5 1
first 40 is divided by 8 ,quotient 5 and remainder 0 .now 5 will be divided by 5 then quotient is 1 and remainder is 0 now 1 is divided by 1 so quotient is 1 and remainder will be 0
so order of remainder will 0,0,0

- question is not correct
when no is divided by 1 it leaves no remainder.. - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- 0 0 1 are the remainders.
Three divisors are 1 5 8 and remainders are 7 4 1
Find the dividend
8*1+7=15, 15*5+4=79, 79*1+1=80. Dividend=80.
Now divide 80 with 8 5 1 we get 0 0 1.
( the remainder must be 1 in the ending we cannot divide it by 1*2=2). - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- l.c.m of 1,5,8=40 now subtract the common remainder i.e 40-1=39 so the no. is 39 when reversed is 93 .
divided by 1,5,8 simultaneously gives 0,3 and 5 as a remainder.

- can u plz explain this piyush...
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- 1/x=y-1
5/y-1=z-4
8/z-4=1-7
Z=8×1+7
Y=5×z+4
X=y+1=77
Now 76÷(8,5,1)=4,4,0 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- when a number is devided by 1 it does not leaves any remainder
so there exit no such number - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- if we reverse the divisors the remainders will be 0,0,0
- 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- let N be a no.
then a/c to questn,
N=k+1
k=5M+4
M=8L+7
solving these equatns we get, k=40L+40
for L=0, N=40
40/8 queotient=5 and remainder=0
5/5 , queotient=1 and " =0
1/1 , " =1 and " =0
so the remainder after dividing the no is 0,0,0 respectively - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- I think the question is wrong as if a number is divided by 1 it can never give a remainder, but nevertheless
Here is the solution that i have:
a number is first divided by 1 then by 5 then by 8, so
8((5(1(x)+1)+4)+7)=40x+79
Now all we need to do is the opposite so, 1 will be the outer most then 5 then 8,
so,
1(40x+79) //Divided by 1
1(5(8x+25)+4) //Divided by 5
1(5(8(x+3)+1)+4) //Divided by 8
So remainders are 1,4,0
