Kuldeep a whole sale dealer sells grapes and sapotas and gets equal income from each.He gets a profit of 20% on each grape and a profit of 25% on each sapotas. If the ratio of the number of sapotas sold to the number of grapes sold is 4:1 what is the ratio of costprice
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- we take ,C.P of grapes =x ,and C.P of sapotas is=y .
then Total C.P of grapes as for profit 20%=x*100/(100+20)
and Total C.P of Sapotas as for profit 25%=Y*100/(100+25)
and now,we know the ratio of the sold numbers of Grapes & Sapotas is=4:1
therefore, The total number of cost price of grapes is=(100x/125)*4/5 is=2x/3
as well as the total number of cost price of sapotas is=(100y/125)*1/5 =20y/125
at last ,as for question we know the dealer get equal income so, (2x/3)=(20y/125)
so that,the cost price ratio=x/y=(20*3)/(2*125)=6/25 ...so the ratio is 6:25 (ans) - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(8)
