Within a rectangular garden10m wide and 20 m long, we wish to pave a walk around the boarders of uniform width so as to leave an area of 96 m^2 for flowers. How wide should the walk be?

• ans is 2 m wide.As 96m^2=16*6m^2.And length of boundry is given 20m,so 20-16=4m,now 4m is distributed to both side so 2m wide each side.similarly 10m wide given,so 10-6=4m,4m is distributed to both side so 2m wide
