Two mens sunil, govind runs in circular track of 0.5km in clock-wise direction . speed in the ratio 5:3 and starts at same time. what is the distance cover by sunil, when sunil crosses govind for the 6th time.

• let speed of sunil=5x
  and govind=3x
  distance covered by govind=y
  and sunil=y+6 x 0.5=y+3
  time(govind)=y/3x,,,,,,,,time(sunil)=(y+3)/5x;
  as time for both sunil and govind is same therefore;
  y/3x=(y+3)/5x;
  5y=3y+9;
  y=4.5;
  distance coverd by sunil=y+3=7.5
  hence, ans=7.5

  and govind 3x
  relative speed 5x - 3 x == 2x
  one round time 0.5/2x
  so 6 round time 6*(0.5/2x)
  in this time sunil cover distance (S*T=D) == 5x*{6*(0.5/2x)} ==> 7.5 :)

• 15.. for 1st round it iz. 5 hence in completing 6 round..it iz 6*0.5=3. now since ratio given is 5:3..d distanc cover by sunil is 5*3=15
