Condensed milk produced by boiling cow milk , if in condensed milk 20% water and in cow milk 90% is water then how much condensed milk could be produce by 72 lit of cow milk
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- cow milk = 72 lit.
10 % is milk= 72*10% = 7.2 lit.
condensed milk contains 80 % milk = 7.2 lit.
100 % condensed milk = (7.2/80)*100 = 9 lit. (answer) - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(23) No(1)
- total milk=72 l
now, 72*90/100=64.8 water,
72-64.8=7.2 (milk)
now 7.2*100/80=9 liter - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(1)
- consider 1 liter of milk.
given that, 1 liter milk = 90% of water + 10% of pure milk.
if 1 liter of milk is condensed it forms X liters of "condensed milk".Also given that condensed milk contains 20% water that means it contains 80% of pure milk.we know the fact that when milk is condensed there i change in water proportion bcz of evaporation, bt pure milk content is not changed.so 10%of pure milk in 1 liter milk is equal to 80% of pure milk in formed X liters of condensed milk.so
10% in 1 liter milk = 80% in X liters of condensed milk
on solving X=0.125
then we can know 1 liter of milk gives 0.125 liters of condensed milk
then 72 liters of milk gives ? liters of condensed milk= >0.125*72=9 liters

- 10*72=80*x(where 10% without water cow milk and 80% without water condensed milk)
x=9 lit. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- amount of milk in condensed milk= amount of milk in cow milk
0.8* x = 0.1* 72
=> x= (0.1*72)/0.8
=> x 9 liters
