Look it from backward.. Given reena is three times as old as seena, let seena age was X at last point then reena must be 3X.

So, seena's age Will be 3*3X=9X. Since seena's age was increased by 8X, reena's age must be increased by 8X. That implies reena's age Will be 11X.

Reena was half as old as seena at that time.
We know seena's age will be 9X at that time.
So, reena must be 4.5X yrs.
Now reena's age changed by 5.5X. So seena's age must be 9X-5.5X=2.5X
Next Reena is twice as old as seena
Now reena must be 5X*2=5X and seena is 2.5X+0.5X=3X
These are the present ages of seena and reena.
=>8X=44
