- Solution : Average = D/M. Three absent New average = D/M-3
Increase = New average - Average = D/M-3 - D/M - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(11) No(4)

- 3D is remained to share among ?M-3
3D/M-3 should be added to the initial share
Therefore, D+(3D/M-3) should be the answer. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- lets assume there are 7 persons going for a party and they each share is 100.
then total amount = 7*100 = 700
if 3 members were absent then there will be 4 persons.
then 700 mus be shared by 4 persons
i.e 700/4 = 175.
therefore the individual share is increased by 75% (i.e 175-100 = 75) :-) - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
- M---------$D
1---------$D/M
M-3-------$D*M-3/M
Total Change= D/M - D*M-3/M
change for each individual = (D/M - D*M-3/M)/ (M-3) - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(3)
