solving, x=16

therefore width = x/2 = 8 units

The area : 2x^2
After decrease: Length(2x-6) & Width(x-6)
Now, the area:2x^2-18x+36
Hence, the eq. is 2x^2-(2x^2+18x+36)=108
Solving, we get x=8,(width)
