Time Distance and Speed
If a car starts from A towards B with some velocity.Due to some problem in the engine after travelling 30km, the car goes with 4/5 th of its actual velocity. The car reaches B 45 min later to the actual time.If the car engine fails ofter travelling 45km, the car reaches the destination B 36 min late to the actual time. What is the initial velocity of car and what is the distance between A and B in km

- 30/v]+[(x-30)/(4v/5)] = [x/v]+3/4 here 3/4 is for 45 minute
[45/v]+[(x-45)/(4v/5)] = [x/v]+3/5 here 3/5 is for 36 minute
on solving we will get (x-30)/v = 3 and (x-45)/v = 12/5
or x-30 = 3v and x-45 = 12v/5 or x = 105 v=50 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
