The age of the father is 18 years older to his son. After 5 years fathers age becomes thrice of his son, What is fathers present age.

- Let the son's present age be x years. Then, his father's present age = (x + 18) years.
After 5 years age of son and his father will be
(x + 18) + 5 = 3(x + 5)
x + 23 = 3x + 15
x = 4 i,e son's age.
