Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- l:b=1:2 & (l+3):(b+3)=3:5
then 2l=b & 5l+15=3b+9
by solving above we get
l=6 & b=12 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Lewis(l)/brown(b)=1/2,L+3/b+3=3/5, on solving Lewis has 6 and brown has 12 years at present.
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- short trick
brown = 2 * 3 (3-5)/(6-5) = 12
lewis = 1* 3 (3-5)/(6-5) = 6 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Let present ages= x and 2x then..
X+3/2x+3=3:5
Solve we get x=6 and since ratio is 1:2 other age(brown) is 12 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
