• all the exams were either greek or latin. let number of Greek exams= x and number of latin exams=y. score of all exams/(x+y)=88, score of all exams = (x+y)*88.
  score of greek exams/(x)=80, score of greek exams= x*80. score of latin exams/(y)=92, score of latin exams= 92*y.
  
  score of all exams = score of latin exams + score of greek exams
  88x + 88y = 80x + 92y
  8x=4y
  x:y=2:1.
