X alone can do a piece of work in 15 days and Y alone can do it in 10 days. X and Y undertook to do it for Rs. 720. With the help of Z they finished it in 5 days. How much is paid to Z?

• (X+Y+Z)'s one day work=1/5 and (X+Y)'s one day work=1/15+1/10..
  Z's one day work=1/30. ratio of one day work=1/15:1/10:1/30=2:3:1
  therefore z will be paid=1/6*720=Rs 120.....

  we need to know ho much z was paid...
  the wrk was done in 5 days
  x+y*5
  (48+72)one days work x 5 days =600
  the total amount given was Rs 720
  therefore z got Rs 720-600
  =>z got Rs 120

  x=30
  z can do 1/30th of the work in 1 day .
  so it is paid 1/6th of 720=rs.120

  y=10 days
  x+y+x=5 days
  lcm= (5,15,10) is 30.
  30 is total work.
  x can do 1 day work =2 unit.
  y can do 1 day work =3 unit .
  1day work x+y+z=6 unit
  so 720/6=120.
  so z paid =20
