(x +y + z)/3 = 37
The average of the temperatures of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday gives us
(y + z + 4/5 x) /3= 34
We get
(x +y + z) = 37 * 3
y + z = (37 * 3) -x
using the value of y+z in the second equation we get
(37 * 3) -x + 4/5 x = 34 *3
(37 * 3) – (34 * 3) = x – 4/5 x
3 ( 37-34) = 1/5x
9= 1/5 x
x = 45
The temperature on Monday is 45 degree celsius
