  Then, investment in 15% stock = Rs. (12000 - x).
  
  12 x x + 15 x (12000 - x) = 1360.

  x + 3 (12000 - x) = 1360.

• Let investment in 12% be Rs.X
  then investment in 15% stock= Rs(12000-X)
  Total divident per annum = Rs.1360
  
  Therefore adding two investments,we get
  = 12*X/120 + 15*(12000-X)/125 = 1360
  = X/10 + 3(12000-X)/125 = 1360
  = 5X + 72000 - 6X = 1360 * 50
  X = 72000 - 68000
  X = 4000.
