The fourth box at 350 kg is 30% lighter than the fifth box. Find the difference in the average weight of the four heaviest boxes and the four lightest boxes.

  so weight of 3rd box=250 kg
  weight of 2nd box = 300 kg nd 4th box= 350
  thus 5th box=500 kg
  avg weight of four heaviest boxes= 1400/4=350
  nd lightest box=1100/4=275
  diff=75 kg

  2nd box= 20 % of 3rd box = 20*2.5 + 250 =300
  4th box at 350 means its weight is = 350
  let say the weight of fifth box is = x
  then
  according to question at 350 kg the weight of 4th box is 30% less then 5 th box..that is
  350 = (x-30%)
  350=(x-30*1/100)
  by solving this you will get
  x=500
  no the weight of the 5th box is = 500
  now according to question
  difference
  4 heaviest box total weight = 500+350+300+250=1400
  4 lightest box total weight = +350+300+250+200=1100
  difference of their total weight is =1400-1100=300

• confusion is on finding the weight of fifth box..
  so if we consider weight of 5th box= 130/100 * 350 = 455, then ans will be 63.75
  
  if weight of 5th box= 100/70 * 350 = 500, then ans will be 75..
  
  because 4th box is 30% lighter than 5th box means
  it may be 70 & 100
  or it may be 100& 130

  4th box at 350 kg is 30% lighter than the fifth box .... it means"350 kg is 70% of the fifth box"
  so, 70% is 350 kg ==> hence 30% is 150
  thus 350 (70%) + 150 (30%) = 500 kg

  average of 4 heaviest boxes =350.3+350+300+250=(1250.3)/4
  difference in average weights is (1250.3-1100)/4 = 150.3/4 = 37.5 kg
