What is the maximum number of slices can you obtain by cutting a cake with only 4 cuts?

  step 3: again put the 4 pieces on each other vertically and cut from top to bottom. this is 3rd cut and we have 8 piece.
  
  step[ 4: again put all the 8 pieces on each other vertically and cut from top to bottom. this is the 4th cut and we have 16 equal piece.

• Theoretically, it is 16. For that you need to make these 4 cuts using four different planes one each along either of the four dimensions.

  Because x+y=4 and (x+1)*(y+1) must be maximum
  Hence, two cuts in one direction and two cuts in another direction gives
  you 3*3=9 pieces

• cut the cake as 1 cut + 1 cut +1cut +1cut so that each cut will divide the cake into 2 slices.
  1st = 2 slices
  2nd = 2 slices
  3rd = 2 slices
  4th= 2 slices
  now multiply all slices as 2 * 2* 2 *2 = 16
