  (x+23)/(y+1)=16....(2).then after solve 1 & 2 ,We got x=105 & y=7.
  Let us assume run scored to achive 18 avg. is A
  then,(105+A)/8=18
  =>A=39.

• i have one doubt. he scored 23 so to make average as 16 he can keep 16 runs for this particular inning then, 23-16= 9 is the remaining runs now 9 runs can be given to 9 innings thus the number of innings are 9 now we have to make average as 18 so 3*9+18 so ans would be 45 can someone clear this doubt........... ??????
