Time Distance and Speed
You drive to the store at 20 mph and return by the same route at 30 mph. Discounting the time spent at the store, what was your average speed?
Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- average speed=total distance/total time
let distance to store be x
then, total time =(x/20)+(x/30)=x/12
and, total time =(2x)
so average speed= 2x/ (x/12)=24kmph - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(1)
