There are two parallel streets in North-South direction. A lives in street 1, B lives in street 2, A goes 10 km north and B goes south 8 km to meet the east " west road. A moves 4 km east and B moves 6 km west to meet each other. Find distance between houses owned by A & B.

1. Go 4 km west and 10 km south to where A lives
2.Go 6 km east and 8 km north to where B lives
Now we need to find the distance between A and B so connect points A and B to form two right angle triangles, using pythogurus theorem, hypotenuse of both triangles can be determined, then add the values.
1) sqrt(4^2 + 10^2) = 10.77 km
2) sqrt(6^2 + 8^2) = 10 km
