Three men A,B,C can complete a work separately in some specified days(may be6,7,8).
If they do the work together by alternate days. Then how many days need to complete the work?

- in order to knw perday work of all d persons in question individually,v first calculate the lcm of the days given.here it is 6,7 and 8, lcm of which is 168.now this 168 is the total units of wrk which is to b done.so divide this 168 by 6,7 and,8 to get perday wrk of a b and c which is coming out to b 28,24 and 21.means the whole thing is all about getting the units of work a,b and c does seperately in one day.a does 28 units of total wrk in one day,similarly b and c do 24 and 21 units of wrk in one day.now let us start wid first day.a will do 28 units of wrk.on second day b will do 24 units and on third day c will do 21 units.thus in three days 73 units of wrk gets cmpleted.nw again for next three days they will do wrk in same manner n finish 146 units of wrk by the end of the 6th day(73+73=146).nw 168-146=22 units of wrk still remains.thus on 7th day on which a will b doing wrk,the remaining 22 units will be completed.thus the whole 168 units of wrk is completed in 7 days.........................

- 1st calculate total work =168 (lcm of 6,7,8)thn calculate per day work of A,B,c equal to 28 ,24,21 resp. 1stly A start the work he done 28 unit of work in one day thn similarly B done 24 unit of work in one day th C done 21 in one day if they work like this pattern ABCABC they do 145 work now remaining work is 168-145=23 now A start the work 23/28 so that total days are 623/28 days
