there are 96 chocolate have distributed to children. How many children are there ---who have less than 5 year age.?
(1) Older than 5 year get 5 chocolate each.
(2) 5 or less than 5 year age get 6 chocolate each.
Read Solution (Total 7)
-
- let a be the no of children older than 5 years
let b be the no of children 5 or less than 5 years
so total no of chocolates from two conditions is 5a+6b
i.e 5a+6b=96
we cant calculate total no of children(a+b) by using above equation
so both statements are not sufficient - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(22) No(0)
- (2) alone is sufficient to answer the question (1) alone not sufficient to answer the question

- 5a+6b=96 now 5*x=0or 5 and6*6=6
ans 6 - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- both statement are insufficient to give the ans because
according to equation 5x+6y=96
where x= Older than 5 year
y= 5 or less than 5 year
so that value of x and y are
x y
