  at the middle we get 4 cubes
  so totally we get 8 cubes on one side painted green

• there are 3 opposite sides which are colored red blue and green.
  to cut this cube in equal 64 small cubes we need to cut it in 8 X 8 form.
  so after that, there will be only 2 faces where the green face has a colored pair.
  those could be 16.
