Mr. bean having magical balls 25 pink, 10 green, 31 red, 31 yellow, 30 purple. He drenched in rain red, green, and yellow turn into white what is the maximum probability of a pair of same color ?
Read Solution (Total 6)

- My answer white. Because red and green and yellow changed to white . So add all yellow and red and green probability that is 72. So it is high probability

- 31+31+ 2(worst case probability)= 64

- The maximum probability of a pair of same color = (Max. no.balls+2nd Max.no.balls+ 2 balls)/(Total no. balls)
= (72+30+2)/127
= (104)/127 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(1)
- The question is improperly worded.
I guess you want to find out 'how many balls should he pick up so that he gets 2 of each colour for sure?'
Let's look at the worst case scenario
If he picks up 31 red first, then 30 purple, then 25 pink and then 2 green
So, it requires => 31+31+25+2 = 89 picks - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(5)
- answer is 3216 ways ...... because the possible of getting same color form the above purple is 360 and pink is 300 and rest three has to be one color because they drenched in to rain so we treat as one color getting chance of two from these is 2556 , so total is 3216
