- Ans. (b)18
SP of 45 lemons is Rs.40
loss = 20%
So CP of 45 lemon would be 40*100/80= Rs. 50
To gain 20% he should sell these 45 lemons for =50*20/100=Rs. 60
Now If he sells for Rs. 60 = 45 lemons
So for Rs. 24 he would sell = (24/60)*45 = 18 lemons. Hence (Option b) - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(10) No(2)
- The present SP per lemon is 40/45(loosing 20%)
The CP per lemon would be (40/45)*100/80=4000/3600
Now he has to sell each lemon @20% profit=(4000/3600)*120/100=1.33
Now for Rs. 24, No. of lemons to be sold=24/1.33=18(Option b) - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(1)
45 lemons price = 40 , which is 80%
man has to get 20% profit i.e 120%
i) 40 ----- 80
ii) x ----- 120 , we have to cross multiply then we will 120%
40 * 120 / 80 = 60.
for 45 lemons with a 20% gain the price is 60
here we have to find for rs.24,
45/60 *24 = 18
